From Independence, take a left onto 3rd Street SE at Dorothie B Yundt Memorial Park. Follow for 1.2 miles. As you approach the McDonald’s at US-20, be prepared to merge onto US-20 W. Follow US-20 W to S Canfield Rd in Black Hawk County for 13 miles. Take the exit toward Black Hawk/La Porte City/Dunkerton from US-20 W.
As you approach S Canfield Road, you will make a left at the stop sign. Follow S Canfield Road for 7.9 miles. At the split, you will make a right onto Brandon Road and follow for 1.6 miles. This road will turn into 8th Street at the bend. Continue for half a mile.
Make a left onto N Cedar Street at the corner of Wiechman Pig and St Clair Plumbing. Follow for half a mile until you reach E Main St. Turn right onto E Main St, and Locke Funeral Services La Porte City will be on the right.
From Hudson, Iowa (17.9 miles, 25 minutes by car):
From Hudson, head south on S Hudson Rd. Turn left onto Wood St at Hudson High School. Continue on W Schrock Rd for almost 10 miles until you come to the fork in the road at US-218.
Turn right onto US-218S and follow for 6.8 miles. After you cross Wolf Creek, you will take a right onto Commercial St at the L&G Hardware Store. Follow two blocks until you get to Main Street at the corner where Tootsie’s Ice Cream and More is located. Follow for 0.2 miles, and Locke Funeral Service La Porte City will be on the left.
From Vinton, Iowa (19.7 miles, 26 minutes by car):
From Vinton, head west on W 3rd St for 0.2 miles to Advanced Eye Care Associates. Take a right onto US-218N/SK Ave and follow for 18 miles. As you enter La Porte City, you will see Tootie’s Ice Cream and More on your left. Make a right onto E Main Street, and Locke Funeral Services, La Porte City, will be on the left.
From Waterloo, Iowa (13.8 miles, 23 minutes by car):
Head southeast on Washington St towards W 5th Street. Use any lane to take the ramp onto US-218S. Continue on US-218S for 14 miles. After you cross Wolf Creek, you will take a right onto Commercial St at the L&G Hardware Store.
